Image
With things looking up in 2021 in the U.S., you've probably noticed that one of the things people are talking about again is weddings , and  how to plan one in this new era. But something that didn't disappear during the pandemic is engagements, and there's some news to report pertaining to that.  Lyst, the world's largest global search platform, just released its 2021 Wedding Report , and among the findings on trending dresses and shoe styles is news about the rise of engagement watches . Lyst reports that you should "expect to see more fine watches and the rise of the engagement watch" (in 2021). Upon further research, we found reports that engagement watches were becoming a thing dating back to 2017, and coverage really picked up last year.  So what is an engagement watch, you ask? Halston Limited, Halston Luggage, Halston Perfume—the 1970s were all about Halston, the eponymous line, numerous licensing deals, and, of course, the visionary designer himself. Studio 54 was the place to be, and cocaine was the thing to do as Halston, a milliner whose career took off thanks to the pillbox hat Jacqueline Kennedy wore to JFK’s inauguration, pivoted to embrace the modern woman with both ready-to-wear and made-to-order fashion collections.  Akin to Dior’s New Look of the 1940s, Halston embraced a streamlined silhouette with an emphasis on draping, luxury fabrics, and color that set the tone for sensual ’70s style. His rise and fall, particularly his tumultuous personal and professional relationships, are chronicled in the highly anticipated miniseries  Halston , which debuts on Netflix today. Produced by Ryan Murphy of American Horror Story and Hollywood  renown, this five-episode miniseries has the intense character development, biting dialogue, beautiful scenery, and

I am one of those people who plan  everything . Whether it's a vacation five months from now or just an after-work happy hour with my fiancé, I'm on it. So it shouldn't be a surprise to anyone reading this to know that I've had my summer wardrobe ready to rumble for a while now. But look, it's important to me to have my ducks in a row so I'm prepared for whatever the season throws at me. An impromptu beach day? I have a chic, on-trend bikini on deck. Outdoor drinks with my co-workers? An easy top or poplin dress will do just the trick. This year, I scooped up so many chic pieces to add to my capsule from Iris & Ink's collection on The Outnet . I'm not joking; I had to stop myself from adding everything from the brand to my online cart. Keep scrolling, and you'll soon see exactly what I mean.  Source: Who What Wear

When you don't treat dry, dead skin , it can lead to some annoying problems. I'm talking clogged pores, breakouts, dull skin, and a flaky or rough texture. Doesn't sound great, right? The thing is, this can be easily avoidable and fixed. Enter exfoliation . It can refresh dull skin, leaving your face looking smooth and glowy . It's especially important as you get older because it will help stimulate new cell growth. The good news and bad news about all of this is that there are so many different types of exfoliators out there. So you've got variety, but deciding on one might take some time. There are mechanical exfoliants, like scrubs, that will slough off dead skin when you gently massage them into your skin. And then there are chemical exfoliants, which usually contain acids like alpha hydroxy (glycolic and lactic), beta hydroxy (salicylic), and polyhydroxy. I used to be strictly a mechanical exfoliant gal, reaching for the physical scrubs to deal with dry a
