Olivia Rodrigo gave darling bows an edgy makeover at Variety’s Hitmakers Brunch in Los Angeles, California. The City Market Social event honored the musical artists behind the year’s most popular songs, including Lil Nas X, Billie Eilish and Lana Del Rey. Rodrigo was presented with the Songwriter of the Year Award by Avril Lavigne, due to the hit songs from her debut album “Sour.” The “Good 4 U” singer’s outfit was purely punk, featuring a black minidress by Calvin Luo. The slim-fitting number featured a silky texture and thin straps tied in knotted bows. The dress was made bold with a statement green bow featuring black edges and a silver lock accent across the front. Lana Del Rey made a ’70s statement at Variety’s Hitmakers Brunch in Los Angeles, California. The City Market Social event honored the musical artists behind the year’s most popular songs, including Lil Nas X, Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo. Del Rey was presented with the Decade Award, honoring her past decade of work since releasing her 2011 single “Video Games.” The “Honeymoon” musician arrived on the red carpet in a bold cutout mini dress, featuring a swirling green and white print. The sleek number featured a ruched skirt, as well as a sarong-style top with torso cutouts and thin halter-style straps. Nicole Ari Parker took statement dressing to new heights — literally — at Nordstrom’s “A Legendary Christmas” party with John Legend. The event, held at the retailer’s flagship store in New York City, celebrated Legend’s newest Sperry collection. The special occasion also featured performances by Legend, as well as Shaina Shepherd and Questlove. Parker posed before the event in a black dress, which featured an asymmetric hem and sleeves. The “And Just Like That” star’s sleek number featured a mix of prints, including baroque swirls, florals plaid and checks. Her ensemble gained a dose of edge from sequined panels, a leather harness accent studded with pearls a central KISS graphic and furry right sleeve. Parker’s accessories included a silver watch, chain and crystal necklaces as well as Nicole Romano fringe earrings and a clutch with a rainbow lip graphic. Eva Longoria posted a picture of herself at the Casa Del Sol Tequila event for international art fair Art Basel in a stunning black mesh number. The actress wore an all-black ensemble including what appears to be a black YSL blazer and black bodysuit combo. Dancer Julianne Hough has joined in on the growing list of celebs making their way to Art Basel this year. Art Basel is a for-profit, privately owned, and operated international art fair that features some of the world’s most incredible art pieces. In true Art Basel spirit, the popular app Snapchat teamed up with American artists Alex Isreal to create an interactive exhibition that comes alive with the help of Snapchat’s advanced augmented reality technology. The exhibition uses Snap’s Marker Tracking, a technology that connects a digital, AR experience to a physical object. As a result of this technology, the painted panels become portals to immersive, animated experiences. The immersive experience will take place through the month of December, up until May 2022 and Hough urges her fans to check it out before it ends.
