Tie-dyeing has become the ultimate at-home activity in the past few weeks, a DIY project to pass the time that Bella Hadid certainly seems to be a fan of. The supermodel shared some Instagram snaps of herself isolating at home with her mom, Yolanda Hadid, in the background. Then, just like that, we were taken outside to her workspace - an area in the backyard where Bella hung up tie-dye tees on a rack in various colors and what looks like multiple breezy, coral throw-overs. "I'm very excited about something I've been working on..I hope you will love the idea," she wrote on a photo of herself next to her tees. Missouri started reopening all nonessential businesses , including close-contact services like hair salons , with restrictions on May 4 after closing due to the coronavirus. Now, just three weeks later, the Springfield-Greene County Health Department announced that two hairstylists working at a Great Clips salon in the area have tested positive for COVID-19. According to officials, the first infected hairstylist saw 84 clients over the course of eight days and the second stylist saw 56 clients after working for five days. This resulted in directly exposing 140 people to the virus. Additionally, the two salon workers were around seven coworkers while contagious. Both the infected hairstylists and the clients they saw were wearing face-mask coverings . As phased reopenings continue in all 50 states, tattoo shops (and other businesses within the personal services industry - nail and hair salons , spas, etc.) are restructuring, amplifying their disinfecting procedures, and working out the logistics of social distancing in professions where physical touch is inevitable. Some states lifted restrictions on personal care services early (perhaps because spaces are typically more controlled than, say, shopping malls), while others have kept them shuttered until a more advanced reopening phase (potentially due to the lack of social distancing). Just like doing my hair or spending extra time grooming my eyebrows, putting in the extra effort to find something cute to wear - even if I'm just working from home and in sweats - has the ability to affect my mood. There's certainly no replacement for stylish loungewear , but I was curious as to what would happen if I challenged myself to wear a dress while working from home - weather dependent, of course. In part because I kept seeing this adorable printed maxi dress in my Instagram feed, which I'll link to ahead, but also because I was just genuinely curious about whether I'd feel silly wearing a dress inside, or if I'd love it.
