Amal was practically dipped in gold for the occasion, the star dressed in Atelier Versace. The floor-length strappy dress was made of strung together pearls and crystals that gradated into one another, the fringy style channeling a 1920s flapper look. The gown was brought in at the waist to create definition, every strand of sparkles cascading down, almost like a waterfall, the structured silhouette the garment provided. Karl Lagerfeld’s iconic work will be the focus of the Costume Institute’s 2023 exhibition, the Metropolitan Museum of Art announced today at a special press conference during Paris Fashion Week. The exhibition, “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty,” will go inside the late legend’s stylistic vocabulary as expressed through lines — spanning from his 1950s designs to his last collection in 2019. (The German-born designer died in February 2019.) About 150 pieces will be on display — spanning the designer’s career as the creative director of Chloé, Fendi, Chanel, and his eponymous label, Karl Lagerfeld, as well as his time at Balmain and Patou — and most of them will be shown alongside Lagerfeld’s sketches.  The exhibit will run from May 5 to July 16, 2023. Holmes wore an off-white leather midi dress with fringe and braided detailing. The gown featured a bustier bodice with stitched hemming running down the middle of the dress. She paired it with a black blazer which she wore over her shoulders, adding a sophisticated touch to the boho style. Oprah glimmered in gold last night. The media mogul attended Variety’s Power of Women event in LA. She was honored at the event alongside her “Queen Sugar” partner Ava DuVernay . Winfrey hit the stage to accept her award wearing a sparkly gold piece. Her jumpsuit featured long sleeves, a tie belt and a wide leg silhouette. She accessorized her outfit with gold drop earrings as well as a glitzy ring. She also added round wire-frame glasses. Winfrey accepts an award at Variety’s Power of Women event on Sept. 28. Chelsea Clinton was sharply suited for Variety ‘s Fall 2022 Power of Women event. Held in Beverly Hills, the occasion honored the accomplishments of numerous women across different fields. Clinton arrived with her mother, Hillary , as well as actress Sandra Oh, in a deep red jumpsuit. The wine-hued ensemble featured a folded sleeveless bodice and silky texture, complete with long pleated trousers. Clinton finished her tonal ensemble with a delicate gold necklace with small pendant accents. She also accented her outfit with a pair of metallic gold sandals; though the open-toed pair wasn’t fully visible, they did appear to feature squared toes and rounded toe straps that framed the activist’s matching red pedicure.
