The first time I ever tinted my eyebrows was with my ex-boyfriend's 80-year-old grandmother. She told me it was her best-kept beauty secret and that I should give it a try. To my surprise, from this random encounter, it became my new thing. I have light brows that I normally fill in and feeling like I didn't need to put makeup on them was life-changing.

That was nearly a decade ago, and now I have my usual eyebrow professional who has become one of my friends. I visit her house monthly, where she threads and tints my brows while I hold her baby (she's a pro). Not only does she do an amazing job, but I just love hanging out with her. Needless to say, during this shelter in place, I miss her. Not only as a person, but my brows miss her too.

While I'm skipping threading my brows right now and just plucking instead, it feels good keep my brows fresh while I'm at home. The kit is simple and easy to use, but my first and most helpful tip I would tell anyone is to try a patch test on your skin 24 hours in advance.
