Goop, Milk Makeup, and More Beauty Brands Formed a Coalition to Help Healthcare Workers

In the wake of the COVID-19 global pandemic, various global beauty brands are looking for ways to help. Some companies are even banding together - including Goop, Too Faced, Huda Beauty, Milk Makeup, and more - to create a coalition called BeautyUnited. Led by Beautycon's Moj Mahdara, the coalition is focused on fundraising and bringing awareness to the Frontline Responders Fund, as well as coordinating product donations to frontline health care workers.

"I stand in solidarity with beauty and wellness founders to mobilize the resources we have to support doctors, nurses and all the healthcare workers on the front lines of this pandemic," Mahdara said in a statement. "We are resolved to support in collective actions that can have a big global impact." The social fundraising campaign includes names such as Drew Barrymore for Flower Beauty, Gwyneth Paltrow of Goop, and Marianna Hewitt and Lauren Gores Ireland of Summer Fridays, to name a few.

Starting today, BeautyUnited will be encouraging various communities to make small donations to help reach their goal of at least $10M, and all donations will go toward the safety of those on the frontlines and medical equipment for critically ill patients in Los Angeles, Chicago, New Orleans and more in the coming months. As of now, more than 45 BeautyUnited brands are donating personal care supplies to frontline healthcare workers. Because it's true: now is the time to be united.
