With meticulous planning, expert stylists, and adventurous clients, some of the best celebrity hair moments of 2020 were born. Yes, award season may be on pause for now, but trust us when we say that there have been some incredible hairstyles on and off the red carpet already.

Award season at the start of 2020 welcomed some of the most impressive and experimental looks yet. We were blown away by Zendaya's ultralong braids at the Critics' Choice Awards, as well as Florence Pugh's swooped, looped, and twisted updo, which - along with all of the other intricate hairstyles she's tried - marked her queen of the updo in our books.

When it came to the Grammys, no one held back with their beauty and no detail was spared (right down to the nails). One of our favorite hairstyles from the night had to be Dua Lipa's '90s-inspired piecey tendrils hairstyle, a look we saw take off at the SAG Awards. To top off award season, Lucy Boynton showed up at the Oscars with pearls stuck to her side part (with actual glue), and we've never considered embellishing our hairline more than right now.
