After nearly a year since she launched her Song of Style apparel collection with Revolve, influencer Aimee Song is expanding the brand.

Starting today, the California-inspired label will now offer footwear. And despite initial delays due to the coronavirus, Song and Revolve were steadfast on getting out the shoes in time for spring and summer.

“Our shoes were initially planned to launch late March before Coachella so the coronavirus did have an impact on our launch,” Song told FN, adding, however, that during the crisis there’s been “a steady stream” of customers shopping for the ready-to-wear collection. She said, “Our overall line features beautiful clothes that are wearable and make people feel good in so I’m grateful they’re still excited to shop.”

Ranging in price from $148 to $188, the accessible footwear line was designed with comfort and the warmer months in mind. Featuring six sandal styles, from flats to heels, the collection also includes trendy detailing seen in the cow-print mule and croc-embossed square-toed wedge.

The shoes were created for specific occasions, Song added. The Emery flat sandal, for instance, is detailed with a cushioned bottom so they can be worn all day. “The fun Gelato heels were meant for days when you feel like being extra,” she added, while suggesting the Fia sandals for picnics and casual bike rides. “The sexy Nola strappy heels were meant to elongate your legs for a night out,” said Song.

For the influencer, who has 5.5 million followers on Instagram, the perfect shoe is one that makes her entire outfit better. “I always look for something I’m missing in my closet,” she said. “Also, comfort is very important to me. I can’t just have my shoes look pretty. I’d rather buy flowers and stare at them all day than buy uncomfortable shoes.”
