Beauty Activism Brand Lipslut Is Donating Every Dollar Spent This Week to Black Lives Matter

We've seen the public come together in many different ways to show solidarity over police brutality and the recent murder of George Floyd by the Minneapolis Police. Specifically in the beauty industry, brands have made their position on the matter public by sharing their support for the Black Lives Matter movement and donating to fight racial injustice through various Black-supporting organizations.

Not one to shy away from politics and miss an opportunity to fight for social justice, Lipslut has joined the ever-growing list of brands supporting the Black community right now. To show unity with the ongoing protests happening across the country, the brand has pledged to donate 100 percent of the earnings sitewide for the next week to organizations fighting police violence, systematic racism, and the oppression of Black people. This includes Black Lives Matter, the Equal Justice Initiative, and the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund.

As a brand, Lipslut is passionate about activism and raising awareness where it is needed most. That's been shown in the past with its Notorious R.B.G. lipstick fundraiser and the many campaigns surrounding its politically charged lipsticks, including the shades F*ck Trump and F*ck Kavanaugh.

"Lipslut is beauty meets activism," said Katie Sones, Lipslut founder, in an email to POPSUGAR. "Our mission is, and always will be, to empower people to fight the issues affecting their communities. To see change we must fight against these issues together-even those of us who are not directly affected."
