Katie Holmes ventured out in New York this week and made sure to get in one last white ensemble before Labor Day rolls around.

Ahead of the holiday weekend, the “Dawson’s Creek” alumna ran a few errands in Manhattan on Thursday, opting for a casual-chic look as she made her way across town. The actress teamed a ribbed white tank top, featuring a sweetheart neckline, with straight-leg jeans and her favorite Prada shades.

Her footwear of choice continued the effortless ensemble, coming from her favorite sneaker brand: Common Projects. The pair with its exposed stitched and layered panels creates an easy to pair appeal, matchable to any ensemble as Holmes has proved time and time again. The Original Achilles silhouette showcases white uppers with a white rubber sole and finished with a foil-stamped factory ID on the heel. Most recently, Holmes demonstrated how well the same all-white sneakers pair with a mom-chic look. Spotted strolling around the city in late August, the “Batman Begins” actress mixed together seasonal pieces in a voluminous-sleeved sweater with a midi-length light-wash denim skirt from Levi’s; similar designs from the brand retail originally for $90 but can be found on sale for $45 at Levis.com.

The star of the newly-released “The Secret” movie oftentimes favors on-trend silhouettes that are just as stylish as her outfit of choice. The 41-year-old is known for her top-of-the-line style, often revisiting her go-to colder weather ensemble: an oversize coat with streamlined pants and easy-to-wear shoes. She matches the combo with everything from Veja sneakers to flared-heel Dorateymur boots. As the weather heats up, though, you can find the actress in flowy dresses, more lightweight tops and a rotation of easy-going pieces.
