Kendall Jenner took her furry friend for a walk yesterday and sent a message with her look.

Heading out with her dog for a stroll around Los Angeles, the model went for an athletic-inspired look in a set of classic black biker shorts — a favorite amongst celebrity style this season — and a cropped green button-up sweater. Her choice of face mask read loud and clear, saying “Vote” in bold white letters across a black front.

As for shoes, Jenner opted for an all-black version of summer’s biggest footwear trend, “ugly” sandals. Coming from Birkenstock, the double-strap Arizona Essentials silhouette features a contoured footbed with an adjustable fit and a special waterproof finish. Topped off with a textured outsole, the style retails for just $45 at DSW.com, making it one of Jenner’s more affordable footwear picks in her rotation.

Considered traditionally “ugly” in the fashion world, Holmes joined the expansive list of celebrities (such as Heidi Klum, Katie Holmes and Chris Pine) switching out their sleek heels for orthopedic-looking or sport-leaning sandals like iterations from Teva, Prada and, of course, Birkenstock.

When it comes to the supermodel’s typical style repertoire, her closet often includes more of an edgy, tomboyish touch, adding in pieces like chunky Prada combat boots and Dr. Marten brogues. Still, the older Jenner sister appreciates a trending sneaker just like her youngest sibling, Kylie Jenner, previously stepping out in then-unreleased Casablanca x New Balance 327 that first debuted at Paris Fashion Week fall ’20.

Beyond her personal shoe style, the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star previously starred in campaigns for Longchamp, Stuart Weitzman, Versace and other major fashion powerhouses. Together Kendall and Kylie successfully an eponymous brand as well; the Kendall + Kylie label serves up apparel, footwear and accessories.
