Jessica Simpson Brings Her Skinny Jeans & Fuzzy ‘Ugly’ Sandals to the Pumpkin Patch
Jessica Simpson took a trip to the pumpkin patch this week for a fun bout of “Cali Pumpkin Pick’n.”
In preparation for Halloween, the “Dukes of Hazzard” alumna brought her kids to the local spot to pick out their Jack-o-Lanterns and show off relaxed fall style. Simpson’s look teamed a slouchy-chic gray T-shirt with light-wash jeans and a bandana neck scarf to serve as a face mask.
On her feet, the actress opted for a set of the fuzziest sandals from a recognizable brand.
(When you get your weekly updates while pregnant and your 40 week one states that your baby is the size of a small pumpkin…this was the size of Birdie at 5 months!)Simpson’s Fendi FF Fur slides come set atop a slightly lifted platform base with a molded footbed for comfort; the upper band features a dyed shearling material coated in the brand’s repeating logo for a standout twist. Though the style has since sold out, it once retailed for $338 at retailers like Neiman Marcus and Farfetch.
Considered traditionally “ugly” in the fashion world, the “Employee of the Month” Star joined the expansive list of celebrities (such as Heidi Klum, Katie Holmes and Chris Pine) switching out their sleek heels for orthopedic-looking or sport-leaning sandals like iterations from Teva, Adidas, Prada and, of course, Birkenstock.
Known for her own style, Simpson launched her shoe line in 2005 in partnership with the late Vince Camuto. The Jessica Simpson Collection is currently owned by Sequential Brands Group, and it offers a range of affordable styles, including shoes as well as clothing and accessories for women and children. Simpson has additionally won big at FN’s annual Achievement Awards, taking home Launch of the Year in 2005.
When she’s not clad in footwear from her eponymous brand, Simpson can often be found in soaring styles from the likes of Saint Laurent, Jimmy Choo and Stuart Weitzman. The mom of three has also selected in recent months selected multiple pairs of snake-print knee-high boots from Villa Rogue, as well as Gucci combat boots and, of course, Fendi sandals.
