Ivanka Trump Layers a Pleated Coat & Floral Face Mask to Mark Veterans Day

Ivanka Trump visited the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va., today for a wreath-laying ceremony to commemorate Veterans Day. Veterans Day is an American holiday observed annually on Nov. 11, honoring those who have served in the United States Armed Forces.

For the solemn occasion, the first daughter opted for a gray buttoned trench coat with a pleated skirt and traditional lapels; she layered the design over a black shift dress, accented the look with a wide-brim hat and leather gloves to match. The finishing touch came with her choice of a protective face mask in a navy blue floral print.

Though her shoes couldn’t be seen in the images, the former footwear head herself oftentimes prefers pumps from brands like Gianvito Rossi along with Jimmy Choo and Burberry. The advisor to the president also has stepped out in more affordable picks from Rothy’s flats and Gola for J.Crew sneakers.  When it comes to fashion and apparel, Ivanka typically favors major labels like Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana and Oscar de la Renta; she also teams her go-to heels to designs from the likes of Brandon Maxwell and Altuzarra.

Joining Ivanka at the memorial event was President Donald Trump and Melania Trump. The first lady opted for a textured, knit black and gray coat dress for the solemn occasion. Despite continued COVID-19 infections within members of the White House, Melania and her husband both opted against wearing a face mask for the outdoor ceremony. The disputed decision to go maskless comes after both the president and the first lady’s own battle with the virus as well as the news last week that White House chief of staff, Mark Meadows, had tested positive for the coronavirus.
