Cardi B Makes It Pop in Slime Green Thigh High Boots & a Presidential Hoodie

Cardi B deemed herself a “Balenciaga mama” yesterday with the style to prove it.

The “WAP” rapper took to Instagram last night to show off a bold ensemble filled with pieces from the Paris-based fashion house. Keeping comfortable all the while, Cardi B opted for the brand’s Political Campaign logo-print hoodie that takes inspiration from classic presidential ad designs; you can find the white iteration of the sweatshirt retailing for $895 at Farfetch.com.

The Grammy Award-winning artist then continued her Balenciaga-rooted ensemble with her choice of footwear. Modeling the brand’s Knife Shark boots, the rapper gave her look a bright pop as she opted for a neon green colorway. The design comes set atop a 4.5-inch heel with the label’s signature boxed heel counter and elongated blade pointed toe.

The slime green Balenciaga leather boots retail for $2,250 and are available at MyTheresa.com.

Deemed the Style Influencer of the Year for the upcoming 2020 FN Achievement Awards on Dec. 8, Cardi B herself is a master of both luxurious apparel and athleisure fashion. She joined Balenciaga as the face of its fall ’20 campaign in September, with ads displayed across the Louvre in Paris.

The rapper also continues to hold the ultimate hook-up for sportswear since partnering with Reebok in November 2018; together, Cardi B has helped the brand released a series of collections as she starred in a variety of campaigns and videos featuring embellished sneakers and vintage-inspired pieces before creating her own collection of footwear and apparel.

She additionally partnered with Fashion Nova to donate $1,000 every hour to those in need until May 20 as part of the “Fashion Nova Cares” initiative. The rapper also recently filed paperwork with the United States Patent and Trademark Office in September in an attempt to trademark the term “WAP” for a variety of items from footwear to apparel to even alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
