Nicki Minaj Masters Logomania in a Branded Bodysuit & Logo-Coated ‘Ugly’ Sandals
Nicki Minaj is giving into one of this season’s most favorited trends: logomania.
Pulled off by wearing a mix of bold branded logos and emblems, the “Super Bass” rapper tapped into the trend in a full Louis Vuitton look last night on Instagram. The artist styled herself in a striped long-sleeve bodysuit with a matching headband and bright pink shoulder bag.
To continue the branded ensemble, Minaj then buckled up a set of trending “ugly” sandals.
Typically considered “ugly” in the world of fashion, the new appreciation for comfortable sandal styles comes with an increased desire for ease of wear and stability in the fashion world amidst the current environment — and for 2021, too, it appears the shoes are here to stay. Brands like Teva and Birkenstock are at the forefront of the trend while celebs including Britney Spears, Tracee Ellis Ross and Kendall Jenner can oftentimes be spotted in the silhouettes.
When it comes to her go-to style, Nicki Minaj’s outfit yesterday fell perfectly in line with the rapper’s eccentric taste. On any given day, you can find the Grammy-nominated artist in everything from a mesh Fendi dress to 7-inch Pleaser heels and custom Brother Vellies lace-up sandals; most recently her go-to picks even include Chanel-charmed Crocs clogs. Also in her closet are footwear styles from Tom Ford, Christian Louboutin and Alexander McQueen amongst other brands. Her top labels for apparel include Versace, Marc Jacobs and Burberry as well.
Beyond her own personal style, the “Tusa” rapper also has served as the face of campaigns for Adidas, Pepsi and Diesel in addition to creating her own unique capsule with Fendi in 2019.
