We Can't Believe People Re-Created Lily Collins's Best Met Gala Looks Without a Glam Team

On the night of what would have been the 2020 Met Gala, celebrities and beauty professionals reminisced on the best red carpet moments of years past. This included Lily Collins, who shared photos on Instagram of her Met Gala glam looks from 2018 and 2019. But the trip down memory lane didn't stop there; Collins also spotlighted some of her fans who tried their hand at the #MetGalaChallenge by re-creating her iconic looks at home - and the results are so good, they rival the real deal.

For the 2018 Met Gala "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion & The Catholic Imagination," Collins's makeup look was inspired by the dark arts. She wore smoky eye makeup and 3D crystals that looked like celestial tears, and her hair was braided into a tight updo with a medieval-looking crown. The following year, she went all out for the 2019 Met Gala theme "Camp: Notes on Fashion" with a '60s-inspired makeup look, complete with pastel purple eye shadow and next-level dramatic eyelashes, and a backcombed bouffant that would make Priscilla Presley jealous. In short: she gave her fans ample material to work with for the #MetGalaChallenge. And boy, did they deliver.

To see some of the uncanny re-creations of Collins's Met Gala red carpet looks for the #MetGalaChallenge, keep reading.
