Jennifer Lopez Glows in a Neon Peek-a-Boo Dress & Towering Glass Slippers

Jennifer Lopez found the perfect way to brighten up her summer style this week for her JLo Beauty line.

The “Second Act” star teased a new effort between her brand and Sephora on Monday night, complementing her impressive complexion with a neon yellow dress. The ribbed design featured long sleeves and a flounced midi fit with a peek-a-boo cutout across the torso; courtesy of David Koma, the colorful dress retails for $670 at FWRD.

J-Lo’s outfit channeled one of the 2021 Pantone Colors of the Year; shades of yellow have already been spotted on the likes of major stars this summer —  think Saweetie, Tiffany Haddish and more — as an easy way to lighten up any ensemble.

To round out her bold summer attire, Lopez herself broke out a twist on one of her favorite styles of footwear, PVC heels. As shared originally on her Instagram Stories and reposted by a fan account, the singer showed off her choice of shoes in a head-to-toe scan of the outfit.

PVC footwear rose to prominence in 2018 and has since become a staple on the celebrity style scene. Brands like Gianvito Rossi, Christian Louboutin and Givenchy have jumped on the clear shoe train with bold heels and studded designs that flatter the foot and elongate the legs. In addition to stars like Christina Aguilera, Sofia Vergara and Cardi B, the Kardashian-Jenner sisters are huge fans of the trend and oftentimes frequent styles from Kanye West’s own Yeezy collections.

It was just last year when the “Maid in Manhattan” star dipped her own toes into the footwear industry. Though she had previously worked with a mix of brands on collaborations and campaigns, the JLo Jennifer Lopez collection at DSW is the musician’s first solo line; the label includes a variety of stylish footwear ranging from sky-high platforms and glittering pumps to strappy sandals, all retailing from $59 to $189.

As if all of her titles were not enough, the past few seasons alone, the “On the Floor” musician also has been featured in major campaigns as well as a few top names for fall ’21, too. She modeled for Versace, stars in ads for Guess and Coach on top of serving as a judge and executive producer for “World of Dance.” She also released a new J-Lo Beauty line earlier this season as well.
