Addison Rae Is Bolder Than Ever in Zebra Lace-Up Dress & Trending Thong Heels

Addison Rae’s big film debut is on the way and the press days are kicking off in style.

The upcoming “He’s All That” star took to Instagram last night to show off her first of many press day ensembles for the movie. For this inaugural look, the 20-year-old tapped stylist Luxury Law to help her put together a bold combination featuring a cutout dress; the design comes courtesy of Poster Girl and highlights a bold lace-up front and fitted mesh bodice.

Amongst a revitalization of 1990s and early 2000s silhouettes, cutout designs as well are making a triumphant return to the celebrity style scene this season from Cult Gaia’s beloved twisted dress to Monôt’s peek-a-boo designs. Stars like Kim Kardashian, Kristin Cavallari, Nicki Minaj and more have tackled the style trend in the past few weeks alone.

When it came down to footwear, the TikTok star herself broke two more major trends for summer: thong-toe sandals and ankle-wrap designs.

Thong-toe footwear returned to the celebrity scene last year as one of spring and summer’s biggest trends and is expected to stick around in 2021. Be it classic flip-flops or thong-toe heels, the minimalistic silhouette falls in line with a ’90s-inspired revitalization of fashion, as seen with shoes like square-toe styles and pops of neon color.

Addison Rae’s own pick is a Schutz design with a snakeskin finish and an en-vogue square toe. Set atop a 4-inch heel, the Vikki silhouette retails for $128 on the brand’s website.

When it comes to footwear, Addison Rae’s own bold heels are just one of the many silhouettes in her everyday rotation. In addition to sharing a love for New Balance sneakers with friend Kourtney Kardashian, the TikTok star is a major fan of one special silhouette from Nike in particular; the brand’s Air Force 1 sneaker first hit shelves in the 1980s and has since become a cultural icon and must-have footwear style for the younger generation.

On top of trending sneakers, the Gen-Z star has started her own beauty line, Item Beauty, and starred in a recent campaign for American Eagle.
