Jill Biden Edges Up in a Moto Jacket, Leather Skinny Jeans & Pointed-Toe Flats in Texas

First lady Jill Biden and second gentleman Doug Emhoff made their way to Houston, Texas, yesterday to visit a local vaccination site.

The duo stopped by the Houston Astros’ Stadium on Tuesday for a quick day trip, also meeting with state representatives and frontline workers along the way. For the occasion, Dr. Biden showed off her edgier side in a blue suede moto jacket layered with a black tee and waxed black skinny jeans.

For footwear, the educator then selected one of her go-to silhouettes: ballet flats.

While they were once viewed as conventional and mundane, in recent months, ballet flats have experienced a revitalization within the fashion world amidst increased desires for comfort and stability with returns to more relaxed fashion choices. Instead of pumps or towering heels, stars and street style icons alike continue to debut their takes on classic flats inspired by must-have designs from brands like The Row, Bottega Veneta, Khaite, Neous and more cult-favorite brands.
