Cardi B Takes a Walk on the Wild Side in a Mesh Leopard Dress & Thin-Strap Sandals
Cardi B proved once more this week that her maternity style is just as bold — if not bolder — than ever before.
The “WAP” rapper showed off her holiday weekend attire yesterday, modeling a wild mesh dress complete with an animal print finish. The high-neck design gave off a daring sheer finish to reveal her bralette and growing baby bump underneath; Cardi B is currently expecting her second child with fellow musician Offset.
To keep focus on her dress, the New York native then lace up a pair of almost invisible thin-strap sandals with a stiletto lift.
Just last week, the “Bodak Yellow” musician unveiled more images from her pregnancy announcement photoshoot on Instagram.
In the picture shared last night, Cardi b posed alongside her first-born daughter Kulture, 2, in coordinating attire. Both mother and daughter’s ensembles featured white flowing dresses with dramatic gold jewelry and symbolic headpieces. The rapper explained on her Instagram Stories that the choice of attire is a nod to Afro-Caribbean culture and heritage; though she was raised in New York, Cardi B herself was born to a Dominican father and a Trinidadian mother.
“I just know these two will love each other soo much and argue soo much since they’re 3 years apart…just like me and Henny,” wrote Cardi B in her caption. “But one thing for sure is they’ll have each other’s back like no one else ever will.”
Deemed the Style Influencer of the Year for the 2020 FN Achievement Awards, Cardi B herself is also a master of both luxurious apparel and athleisure fashion. She joined Balenciaga as the face of its fall ’20 campaign in September, with ads displayed across the Louvre in Paris. When it comes to her everyday looks, you can find Cardi B in everything from Mugler catsuits to glittering Balmain skirts and her favorite Jessica Rich heels.
